cat is now being fed free range chicken w/ all fat trimmed and lightly cooked to kill bacteria, then ground into kitty food. dad is kinda annoyed @ mom for doing this but i think it is awesome!

my girlfriend's favourite thing in the world is reading about cat diets on the internet and even she doesn't cook the chicken before giving it to the cat!! but maybe only because she hasn't read that page yet.

Making cat food is something I want to get into.

i love her, too! she's pretty swell.

the thing is... they still won't let the cat live in the house! they bring him in to play every night and let him stay in the garage, but won't let him live in the house :( he also got in a fight with the other random cats in the neighborhood and made sure they knew it was his house/scared them off <3

guys, kitty was last seen fighting w/ black and white stray (who i hear looks nasty and mean; we hate him) and has not shown up to be fed in a few days. i am super worried. also, i dreamt about him twice! i hope this does not mean it is his kitty spirit telling me he's gone :(

thanks, q. my mom is so sweet. she drove around looking for him and even went to the humane society to look at strays and see if he was there. i know they run away like that, esp after a fite, but i just worry he got hit by a car or something :(

kitty q is an indoor kitty, and fortunately has shown no interest whatsoever in going outside. our old neigbor had a cat whom she let outside; kiki would just hang around the front porch, not really going anywhere, and come inside when called.

the cat still hasn't come back, but my mom is STILL looking for him! she stops by the shelters to look at kitties and apparently just sent a message to a feline urgent rescue place. she is the sweetest. <3 this lady so much!

Our cat was diagnosed with diabetes on Saturday. We have to give him insulin injections 2x/day. It's actually easier than giving him a pill, though.

I'm sorry to hear that Hunt3r, though glad it got caught. Our cat Drac is diabetic, but we've got it under control just through his diet so far.

I had a cat with kidney failure that I had to give subcutaneous fluids to twice a week. No fun!

cutty, if you're asking what Drac eats - he was on Purina DM for the past 2 years, both wet and kibble. It's one of the highest protein kibbles available, and Drac was all about the crunchy food. Recently though, they changed the formula of the wet food so it's mostly liver or something and now neither of our cats will eat it and Drac was starting to get symptomatic again from eating nothing but kibble. I started looking into alternatives and transitioned them to a raw diet this week. Which they both love so we'll be able to drop the kibble completely and get all grains out of their diet. I'm buying Primal for them right now, but also got a package of Instincts powder to mix up my own.
