see im alright with them calling ppl who send in videos of pelicans "iReporters". i bristle more at them referring to the widows of dead soldiers as iReporters, like they're reporting about their husband's death on their camera phone or something. idk it's just really awful and yeah condescending

So close to 'butthurt,' so far from the reality.

One of my high school classmates (a cousin of FB, actually) was hit by lightning about... 16? years ago; the little toe on each foot was melted off but his actual shoes survived unscathed. We told him he should mail them (the shoes, sicko) to Nike and angle for free footwear.

My best friend from high school was killed by a lightning strike 12 years ago this week. He was wearing sunglasses at the time, and the frame melted right at the bridge. Amazing.

(Not trying to be a buzzkill with this. He would have thought it was hilarious, actually, and it kind of was.)

that's pretty much pure evil. sorry, what is your point?

The point is that the headline should have focused less on the "swingers" part and more on the "raping children" part.

It was that the headline (and to a lesser extent, the story) pretty much conflates people who have non-standard sex lives with pedophiles.

I mean, a case where a group of adults are forcing children to have sex is not a 'Swinger sex case'.
