i found my old muppet movie lunchbox while cleaning the kitchen today. Did anyone else have lunchboxes as kids, what kind of lunchboxes. I think I had a Lassie one, and also a Pigs in Space one.

i had one, that i still have, that was a legend of zelda/super mario bros. hybrid, with slightly more zleda/link motifs than mario ones. it was royal blue: my favorite color then and now.

i also had a neon orange nkotb one

i never used the thermoses on any of them.

yeah i always maintained an attitude of "fuq 1 thermos", until my "drinking years*", this was unrelated to luncheoning

when i was in second grade, my friends were "bad girls" and they'd steal lunchboxes during lunch time, but they didn't really steal them, they just hid them in the bushes around the corner, and they tried to get me to steal someone's lunchbox, but i ended up just taking the crayons from the boy I had a crush on who sat in front of me, thinking that would mean he'd have to borrow my crayons.

i don't think he did end up borrowing my crayons though. he was quiet and shy. i gave up on having crushes on quiet, shy boys after him.

the next boy i had a crush on was ryan - and he wasn't quiet and shy, this was 4th grade - but he flirted with everyone, so i was kinda mean to him, and then he started dating my bf sabr1na, and i followed them around and took notes like in Harriet the Spy. Okay, I'm drunmk and gonna go to sleep.

my favourite boy when i was eight wasn't shy but he was eccentric, at the end of the year we were supposed to take all our artwork home and he couldn't fit the last couple of his paintings in his bag so he ate them while i cried my eyes out with laughter.

whatever happened to him? jason - the 2nd grade crush - ended up moving away in high school, though we were in the same gifted classes for years, he had really good taste in music, but i think that was because he had a cool older sister.

we both liked adam & the ants in 2nd grade - that goody two shoes song they played on the radio

we moved up north not long after that so i never saw him again.

I had a Kiss lunchbox and a crush on the smartest boy in my class from fourth grade until we graduated high school. Now he's a professor of some esoteric, weather-related science discipline and I'm married to the smartest boy in a different class, so everything worked out in the end.

I do not recall lunchbox themes but I do recall my Trapper Keeper with the horse on it. I recall it in great detail, actually!

I was always drawing horses heads on my papers at skool. Girls and horses, horses and girls.

You were a horse girl! I was talking to a coworker about horse girls, but she grew up on the mean streets of Chicago and said there weren't any many horse girls in her school. I grew up in rural Delaware so I was friends with tons of horse girls, many of whom had their own actual horses.

i did horses, was in a pretty rural area too. i dunno why girls like horses so much. i still like farm animals in general but i don't think i can ever get any, i don't like non-cities anymore.
