back in the city we was living just like bums, didn't pay no attention to those boys w\ their banners & drums.
i went to some meetings but just for kicks, we were getting high, didn't care about politics.
i shoulda left town when the chance occurred, i would've dressed in black & preached the revolutionary word.
all thru that summer we'd heard the reports, i filtered it out w\ the stock market shit & the sports.
the cracks in the image & the years are starting to tell, i'm gonna tell the truth til there's no truth left to tell.
