i saw a guy that looked exactly like him in the grocery store and i thought my cart was in his way so i moved it and he said, "no it's ok, i'm just looking for brown eggs." and i said, "oh yeah they usually run out first" (i like brown eggs too). there were plenty of white eggs but he just walked away without any. i lolled.

On September 15, Steve Aoki will release his own single, “I’m in The House,” featuring the mysterious man in the mask, [[zuper blahq]]]. The track is a fun, jumpy track that shouts out artists and friends of Dim Mak: Crookers, Boys Noize, MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, LMFAO, and Pase Rock.

Who is [[zuper blahq]]]?
We can't tell, but maybe if you listen closely enough you can guess!

The “I’m in the House” single package features a diverse collection of remixes by The Count aka Hervé who lays down a heavy dub step remix, and Gigi Barocco driving the Italian fidget sound. A second package will be released later this year featuring remixes by LMFAO, Sharam of Deep Dish, world renowned pianist Eric Lewis and many more.

Steve Aoki will release his full-length debut album in spring 2010.

In the meantime, catch him at one of his many DJ residencies around the globe, or follow his antics by tuning in to www.steveaoki.com. Oh, and did we mention that he’s got his own clothing line to boot?

Rifoki is the New Punk Hardcore project of Steve Aoki & Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, better known as The Bloody Beetroots. Recorded in Italy with Giulio Favero (ZU), Franz (Il Teatro Degli Orrori) & Rocco Rampino (La Quiete, The Death Of Anna Karina), Rifoki is the maximum level of expression of a lifestyle that has brought them to be two of the most recognized DJs & producers in the world.

But before they were DJs and producers, before electro, and before the rocked the clubs, Steve Aoki and Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo were punk rockers.

Rifoki is a return to their roots: hardcore punk, pure and simple. The EP features artwork by Mark McCoy, a visual artist and vocalist for numerous punk and metal bands including Das Oath, also part of the Dim Mak family. Dim Mak will also celebrate the release of Rifoki with a special edition tee shirt.

Like is it just sitting there on the pillow? Or frozen? or like he calls you and then you order the pizza for him?

puff puff post (uh oh I'm having a fantasy), Thursday, 21 June 2012 19:05 (eleven years ago) link

the $100 organic restaurant dinner is for him, everyone in the crew goes back to the room and shares the cheese pizza.
