Kron has all the powers of Spider-Man, such as super strength and agility but more enhanced. He can also shoot strands of alien substance in the form of "webbing" and can turn his moleucles into a watery substance as his skin is malleable in nature and can shape-shift.

Warren Ellis ended up getting handed the 2099 universe for a crossover toward the end of it, with Doom 2099 taking over or something. He is now frantically popular due to his use of about 10 cliches repeatedly and using the word "shiteyes" as an insult

2099 article slightly more entertaining now

mh, Tuesday, 29 July 2008 15:19 (seventeen years ago)

seventeen years pass...

they should make a Ravage 2099 film starring Robert Pattinson, Robert Pattinson as the same character he plays in Cosmopolis, a yuppie/corporate exec but he realises the corporation is evil and becomes a vigilante who wears hubcaps as elbow/kneecaps and drives around in a bin lorry. Contemporary audiences love elevated trash, you're telling me this wouldn't do numbers at the box office? I love the Stan Lee scripted issues of Ravage 2099, it's like a perfect mixture of silver-age silliness and early 90s extreme silliness, it kind of reminds me how Kim Wilde's Kids In America was co-written by her dad, this older guy grasping for what was trendy at that particular moment and kind of getting it slightly wrong, but simultaneously being more zeitgeisty than the actual zeitgeist somehow

credit to Stan Lee even at this late point in his career still having an instinct for the kind of dumb stuff that would appeal to an 8 year old boy - I was fascinated by bin lorries at that age, a superhero who drives around in a bin lorry is such a great idea
