Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 3 April 2009 19:58 (fifteen years ago) link

a reliable source (me) says i can maintain a steady 25-30 mph pace, plus i'm smarter than that grizzly

cutty, Friday, 3 April 2009 20:01 (fifteen years ago) link

Mr. Que, Friday, 3 April 2009 20:02 (fifteen years ago) link

caek, Friday, 3 April 2009 20:03 (fifteen years ago) link

cutty, Friday, 3 April 2009 20:10 (fifteen years ago) link

Joe Curell is a mystery wrapped in an enigma much like a bear riding a bicycle, neither makes any sense but is still entertaining

cutty, is there anywhere i can read online about whether verbal contracts are enforceable in NY state and, if so, at what point the agreement is considered complete? i have found and understood equivalent information for the uk, but i may be about to get lawyered by a former bro, so would love to read up a little on how this works in the jurisdiction in which he is likely to try it on. (i am aware i will need a lawyer, but hopefully we won't reach that stage and some background would be useful in the meantime.)

caek, Tuesday, 22 September 2009 22:04 (fourteen years ago) link

contracts law is the common law, so you'd have to look at the NY courts of appeals cases regarding verbal contracts. there are no statutes governing this type of thing.

cutty, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 00:27 (fourteen years ago) link

ok thanks

caek, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 00:39 (fourteen years ago) link

hey do you have access to lexisnexis or westlaw through your university library? (i'm guessing no). anyway the encyclopedia "new york jurisprudence" might be helpful for your purposes.

steamed hams (harbl), Wednesday, 23 September 2009 00:41 (fourteen years ago) link

i have access to most stuff through my university library, yeah. i will check those out tomorrow.

caek, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 00:51 (fourteen years ago) link

this may be able to answer your question, if you can somehow get ahold of it

a lot of PROs live in colorado just to get altitude training in

the alternative is to buy a $10,000+ altitude tent to sleep in in your bedroom!
