Subject: [the boredoms] FUCK NIPP GUITAR
hello
i recently started an auction on ebay were i was
selling my USED copy of the z-rock hawaii album:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=307&item=4025254970&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
this morning, the label, nipp guitar, emailed me and
informed that i was somehow using 'copyrighted images'
from their website to sell my USED COPY of their cd.
they also told me that i was unauthorized to sell this
cd, which is hilarious, because they are basiclly
telling me that its illegal to sell cds that are or
were put out by other labels, EVEN IF THEY WERE USED
COPIES!
they also threatened to take action against me. what
makes this situation that much infuriating is that
within hours of the email which they sent me, telling
me to desist from selling the cd, they set up their
own little auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=307&item=4025811980&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
please note the RIDICULOUSLY HIGH BUY-IT-NOW price!
$40 fucking dollars! IS THIS FUCKED UP OR WHAT? in
nipp guitar world, i am not allowed to sell a used
copy of their cd for cheap, but they are allowed to
jack up their own prices by 2 fold! i bought my copy
from them for $20 3 years ago. now that they are
running low, they are charging TWICE as much. fuck
these arrogant pricks! they have the balls to claim
that by not purchasing from them, you are not
supporting the bands, WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT! i would
love to see how they send ween and the boredoms all
those extra $20 bills they are getting. dont support
these fucking bastards.

Hey group,
Long-time lurker/bore fan, first time poster. Here's my dillema w/r/t yamamoto's
tzadik releases:
I'm a journalist working in the Mideast, where there's a fairly comprehensive boycott
levied against jewish-themed or produced products. So, as you might surmise, a label
with a hebrew character for a logo isn't going to have any of its releases find their way
into the record stores.
Nevertheless, I'm gripped with the need to hear these two Yamamoto albums. I'll pick
them up in the US when I go back for the end-of-year holidays (along with the new
VOORE record, and how about that?), but that seems like such a long ways away.
