it's very easy for comedy actors to get tired. they always do too many bad ones and since so few of them are versatile at all the shtick always wears.

i think Will Ferrell's just too much a product of that era 20-30 years ago when every third comedy was a sports comedy.

Vince Vaughn had a few bad wilderness years after Swingers where he did nothing but drama and then had an epiphany like "oh yeah the whole reason i'm famous is because of a movie i was really funny in". i still kinda don't like seeing him in any serious roles.

i saw clay pigeons and that drug movie w/joaquin phoenix. those were pretty terrible.

swingers is pretty bad.

i kind of liked return to paradise tho. it was such a serious DRAMA. glad he realized he's a comedy dude at heart tho. made is pretty bad too but he's funny in it.

yeah but like it or not, Swingers was kinda his starmaking performance, the whole reason he got to do bad high profile shit like a Pyscho remake and a Jurassic Park sequel. (xpost)

I was turned onto it by people who HATE Dane Cook with a fiery passion and didn't realize he had anything to do with it until his voice was identified. I'm agnostic on him but this shit is funny.
