Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 05:14 (nineteen years ago)

I find I'm liking the ones with less guitar the best

e.g. vol. 3 track 8

track 7 on moroccan cruise w/ the horns is pretty hot

I have only listened to 3 and 4 so far

dmr (Renard), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 05:57 (nineteen years ago)

so is winzip the wrong thing to use to extract these? i'm getting an error message.

Hoosteen (Hoosteen), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 07:39 (nineteen years ago)

I used WinRAR on Vol 4 and it was happy.

Edward III (edward iii), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 14:42 (nineteen years ago)

vahid (vahid), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 18:18 (nineteen years ago)

dmr (Renard), Thursday, 11 January 2007 00:09 (nineteen years ago)

Only listened to Vol. 3 so far, but it's great!

more grease in the pianissimo. (tehresa), Thursday, 18 January 2007 13:19 (nineteen years ago)

This is so awesome... I really like a bunch of these tracks so far (just started vol 4). Seriously, please, vahid, snap a photo of this guy.

Andi Headphones (Andi Headphones), Thursday, 18 January 2007 19:54 (nineteen years ago)

if you're having probs opening it, try

changing the filename?
upgrading to a new version of stuffit?
downloading off andrew's server mirror?

vahid (vahid), Thursday, 18 January 2007 20:07 (nineteen years ago)

one month passes...
These are so great. Any chance for more?

EZ Snappin, Friday, 2 March 2007 02:59 (nineteen years ago)

i've sort of fallen out of touch with l1am and the rest of the b1ckfords. if i ever bump into him on the street i'll ask for the other eight (!) volumes.

i can re-up 1-4 if you want any of those ...

moonship journey to baja, Friday, 2 March 2007 07:47 (nineteen years ago)

I managed to snag 1-4 when you re-upped them. I just went back to them earlier in the week and found so much to like that I wanted even more. Scary to think they're just 1/3 of the planned opus.

Did you ever share them with the Aquarius guys or anyone else? I think they definitely have a certain something that could find an audience.

EZ Snappin, Friday, 2 March 2007 15:54 (nineteen years ago)

what did you guys call this in yr iTunes?

artist: crazy landlady's son
album: in the fucking shed, bro

gbx, Friday, 2 March 2007 16:01 (nineteen years ago)

^ lolz

i'm just listening to this now... sick

sleep, Friday, 2 March 2007 16:44 (nineteen years ago)

I called the artist CFLS and the albums are the titles he gave (Moroccan Cruise etc)

the ones with kids playing and yelling and phones ringing in the background are maybe the weirdest

dmr, Friday, 2 March 2007 17:40 (nineteen years ago)

Does anyone wanna call bs on vahid's story

Any chance of a re-up?

jim, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 16:32 (nineteen years ago)

aren't they still on andrew's server?

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 16:49 (nineteen years ago)

Ah, I can't check now because I'm at work, but Vahid mentioned re-upping 1-4 since Andrew put them on the server so maybe not?

dmr, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 23:33 (nineteen years ago)

moonship journey to baja, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 23:35 (nineteen years ago)

dmr, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 23:39 (nineteen years ago)

moonship journey to baja, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 23:47 (nineteen years ago)

river wolf, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 23:51 (nineteen years ago)

it's just a playlist of stuff she's been listening to, and in the middle it says

...
Bill Callahan
Bonnie "Prince" Billy
The Howling Hex
Crazy Fucking Landlady's Son
Eat Grapes
Pink Nasty
...

etc etc

moonship journey to baja, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 23:56 (nineteen years ago)

so vahid, when are you gonna let all these guys in on the secret behind your viral marketing project? :-\

Steve Shasta, Wednesday, 30 May 2007 00:02 (nineteen years ago)

I wouldn't say a big deal but the freakfolk / Arthur magazine crowd knows who she is

I've only heard her track off Golden Apples of the Sun

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Golden_Apples_of_the_Sun_(album)

dmr, Wednesday, 30 May 2007 00:17 (nineteen years ago)

i'll have some free time in about a month, i'll drop by the bickfords and grab a photo and liam's address so that interested parties can get in touch with him.

though i actually feel kinda bad that i spread this thing all over the internet without telling him.

moonship journey to baja, Wednesday, 30 May 2007 00:18 (nineteen years ago)

I wouldn't feel bad about the spreading the music part, just slightly nervous about the calling him fucking crazy part

dmr, Wednesday, 30 May 2007 00:24 (nineteen years ago)

AWK-ward!

river wolf, Wednesday, 30 May 2007 00:39 (nineteen years ago)

moonship journey to baja, Wednesday, 30 May 2007 00:42 (nineteen years ago)
