usually one of them will be "crunk"

or ambient, or psychedelic

those ducktails tags are pretty accurate IMO

yeah there's nothing wrong with "psych / tropical / ambient" per se, just saying

i just don't like the "ironic" ones you see all the time

I had the Material record with her on it for a few years and never paid attention to it, then I got my all time favorite italo record, Mr Flagio's Take a Chance and when I realized it was a cover version I had one of those "wait a minute, I have that record!" moments. The pressing is really shitty which may explain why I never paid much attention to it, but it's pretty great.
