He was doing great up until about a year ago; now he’s deaf, half-blind and completely incontinent. He still likes to run about (albeit slowly), enjoys hugs and food. It’s just a chore to clean him up all the time, and my flat smells like pee, but I’m glad to have him.My parents got him for me when, after my first spell in a psychiatric hospital I had to move home from Glasgow to Fife, and they thought he would keep me company, which he has. It’s only a matter of time until he can’t stand up, though, and the vet says that’s the time they euthanise him. Just tying to enjoy the time left.
