hooray! andrew!

lady pooperton (notvalery), Tuesday, 13 June 2006 17:03 (nineteen years ago)

be vigilant. r5 usually releases tickets the day before for "sold out" shows. sonic youth was "sold out" and twenty tickets were released last night for today's show. the bad news is that this usually gets announced via MySpace.

noticed the other day that earwax on bedford had shock city shockers vol. 1 on the wall for a cool $100.

jinx hijinks (sanskrit), Friday, 23 June 2006 18:47 (nineteen years ago)

That is bullshit. That place sucks

Was Eye like 14 when he started Hanatarash? (Dude is dressed like a character from Akira!)

Werner Herzog Netflix Quine (ex machina), Saturday, 24 June 2006 22:48 (nineteen years ago)

i know, so roffley how young he is there. why did they overdub first track from "3" on top??

XD (eman), Sunday, 25 June 2006 00:42 (nineteen years ago)

I've seen a non overdubbed version... lemme look around my mpegs folders.....

Werner Herzog Netflix Quine (ex machina), Sunday, 25 June 2006 01:27 (nineteen years ago)

welllll.... they were the VOOOOOREDOMS all right ... always a treat. still, it was essentially the exact same show as last year.

only this time, much shorter, plus daylight, plus no extended 3Y3-with-the-ball-thingies intro ... all added up to a good time, but no godhead. Last year I was freakin FLYING, goosebumps style. Today: merely "GREAT".

Roky Erickson was a treat and 1 half to see: remarkably together and seemingly enjoying himself very much. He played "Splash 1" from the 1st Elevators album!!! woah.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Sunday, 25 June 2006 03:47 (nineteen years ago)

kind of felt the same way, the london show was great fun but no raised neck hair tinglies like the bowery show last year. light balls came out for the encore.

jinx hijinks (sanskrit), Sunday, 25 June 2006 22:04 (nineteen years ago)

oh, stormy, i was at intonation too. i was already wasted by the time the boredoms went on, so i don't really remember it though. also, i don't know any of their music.

phil-two (phil-two), Monday, 26 June 2006 04:40 (nineteen years ago)

my former roommate and best pal saw boredoms at intonation, but he doesn't know shit about shit.

gbx (skowly), Monday, 26 June 2006 04:42 (nineteen years ago)

holy shit Phil, I think I may have seen you .. maybe .. not sure. now that you mention it I seem to remember looking at someone and thinking that he resembled you. I think i prolly assumed it wasn't you or something ! bummer. I wish I would've known you were there. Yesterday was crazy. i saw so many people I hadn't seen in literally years. I wish I would've known you were there. send me an email next time!

I went today and it kind of blew ... that's more due to it being a Sunday, I think. Sundays always blow. the dread of work. plus there was no one I REALLY wanted to see other than Blue Cheer. But Jon Brion was really entertaining, liked him a lot. think I'm actually gonna call in sick tomorrow, fuck it.
