tbf, US sitcoms are very often not as well-known outside the US as Americans seem to think.

Supernatural is a show that takes a lot of plots from Buffy, but is about two very attractive young men that exorcise demons, kill vampires, are targeted by the organized forces of heaven and hell, and they have a cool car, and a buddy who is an angel, but with that Wim Wenders aesthetic

and because i think a lot of the plots are taken from Buffy, one of the two men (they are brothers), has a lot of traits/issues that are feminine, so I enjoy watching it from a genderqueer perspective re Dean (the one they substitute for Buffy in the plots)

xp that’s the case for most fandoms. Supernatural is unique for tons of reasons, but the strong conspiracy theory element amount lots of the fans would be up there.
