luv u morbs
I'm not really asking Moore books to be some transformative experience or whatever, I just mean that it's one of those things where I acknowledge something has artistic merit and might even enjoy it in a "this is a pleasant way to pass some time" sort of way, but it doesn't do much to capture my imagination or accrue emotional/intellectual value in my mind. It's just one more thing. There's loads of stuff like that in my life, I guess, but the fact that Moore is so revered makes it a little weirder and I think I rebel a bit, kinda like how I can't bring myself to get too invested in, say, Bob Dylan.

i do think the train lyric is a bit crap, really. he drags the train metaphor on a bit too long. if there was a video for it, he probably would have dressed up as a conductor.

I had a friend from another messageboard/chatroom who passed away a couple years ago. Cam was bright and witty, charming and just an all around lovely person to know. One of those people who could always cheer you up, without a thought to his own ongoing health problems. I found out one day when I tried to call him - he was supposed to be coming to LA from New Zealand, and I wanted to make sure I knew when I was supposed to pick him up at the airport and instead of reaching him, I got a policeman on the line who told me that Cam had apparently died sometime in the day or two prior. I miss him constantly. -- luna (luna.c), Thursday, July 29, 2004 8:33 AM

This:
The film and the song '9 to 5' really did more for the cuase of women than all the marches of the 60s and 70s combined."
is way more insightful (and interesting) than this:
the band as being essentially a construction of McLaren, how when Lydon quit playing along he got Sid to be his puppet
