huh. I guess it wasn't them. the PE/Herb thing is credited to Evolution Control Committee, for some reason I thought that group "evolved" into EBN, but looking at the wikis for both, it's not the same dudes.

they (ECC) did do that Dan Rather "Rocked by Rape" thing that's pretty much the exact same m.o. as Emergency Broadcast.

edit yeah very easy to confuse emergency broadcast network w/evolution control committee

the EBN album was a letdown but their videotape's got some moments. we were just all looking askance at those guys because they did not hesitate to sign on with U2 less than a year after the Negatvlawsuit, felt weird, but their work was ok

Evolution Control Comittee was some guy from Columbus or Cincinatti...we got that mash-up on TAPE at Oberlin's radio station, if that tells you how old-school it was. I think it was packaged in an 8track or radio cart or something.
