jw did you travel back in time and steal my brain from college, because i used to think the same thing. like a pinball game that gave you a donut or a cup of coffee instead of a free game.

u_u --
In November 2005 The Pinball Factory (TPF), based in Melbourne, Australia, announced that they would be producing a new Crocodile Hunter-themed pinball machine under the Bally label. However, with the recent death of Steve Irwin, it was announced that the future of this game has become uncertain.[1]

Diner is the only pinball game i can think of with a coffee cup. You'd shoot the ball into it and the ball would spin around and around. It's at the top of the playfield:

How cool would it be if to unlock espresso shot (once you crossed correct threshold) you had to do all the tasks -- beans dropping down chute, grinding etc

I'm still convinced a Yelp style DB for video games and pinball would be rad!

. The monsters are noted for being extremely aggressive, fast, and unpredictable, frequently breaking the rules of movement established in Namco's official Pac-Man games.

Catsupppppppppppppp dude ‫茄蕃‪, Monday, 7 May 2007 19:13 (nineteen years ago)

the arcade near the place in Maine my family always goes to has those classic old baseball pinball cabinets, so awesome. you'd only get one ball per quarter, but if you got 21 runs the light on top would go off and the attendant would give you 100 tix. i used to rule that shit.

Catsupppppppppppppp dude ‫茄蕃‪, Monday, 7 May 2007 19:19 (nineteen years ago)

FISH TALES OTM, love the rod n' reel trigger

those baseball games are fun too, I thinkn the one I used to play was slightly different but they had one at a dive bar in Norfolk we always used to go to. you'd get a 9 inning game for 50 cents.

they had pinball there too, CYCLONE for a while and later some fem-bot type thing. famous one, I just can't think of the name right now.

You know I don't remember the Stones pinball game playing a song, but there's a lot I don't remember about that time in my life. I spent most of it drunk on beer and shame over being in a rap-metal band.

So I am going to get some kind of iced espresso-based beverage and go kiting in the park. It is decided.

nickalicious, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:53 (nineteen years ago)

was PapaWheelie in your band?

I think I have to stop drinking coffee, it's ruining my stomach lining. it's like the polar ice caps melting and all my polar bears are drowning.

Yerac, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 00:54 (nineteen years ago)

cgi polar bears or real ones?

rrrobyn, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 00:55 (nineteen years ago)

my cgi stomach lining is melting b/c it is imaginationland
but my real stomach lining is solid for 2 strong coffees/day

rrrobyn, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 00:57 (nineteen years ago)

how do we restore stomach lining?

i have played this for over an hour straight:

http://wirelessdigest.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/gnrpinball.JPG

the multiball is called slash's snake pit and it plays a killer solo.

http://www.tilt.it/pics/flyers/dataeast-sega/guns_n_roses_1994_f_1.jpg

it has an exclusive track on it too:

http://www.pinballhispano.net/pinballworld/images_flyers/guns_n_roses_b.jpg

you cant really read it, but the banner under axl's chin at the bottom reads "APPETITE FOR PINBALL."

i cant remember what its called when a ball rolls in a little alley behind one of your flippers and you're fucked, but that alley has a light that says MICHELLE on it and has a naked chick draped over it. when you lose a ball down that alley it plays the WELL WELL WELL MY MICHELLE line from the chorus.

also: two plungers- one is a gun and the other a rose.

If there was a good pinball machine in my neighborhood I'd get a lot less work done waste time there instead of on ILX

Hurting 2, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 03:10 (nineteen years ago)

kevin and other chicago noizes should head to the pinball convention that happens at a hotel by o'hare every fall. $10 entry but totally worth it cause there's all these old machines set to free play.

My step-dad went to high school in Chicago with a guy who went to work for Williams Electronics after graduation. One of my most fondest memories was visiting that guy and getting to play with a disassembled Joust machine in his office/spare bedroom.

Seems like he was an active participant in that pinball expo. And the bar in town here had that GNR game, too. Nothing cooler than sticking your quarter in and hearing Axl whisper "Oh my God" as you went to pull the trigger...

Pleasant Plains, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 05:06 (nineteen years ago)

I like the Elvis pinball mach @ Santa Monica Pier w/the King's voiceover "thangyou" and when you're done "elvis has left the building"
