what the hell is an indicator?

like, there's no point to indicating you are making a turn unless you are making a turn, regardless of whether you are moving forwards or backwards

I am confused as to what information you think people are attempting to impart here

this may be related to my difficulty in GTA w/r/t turning backwards in the intended direction

why wouldn't you signal out of a driveway? How many driveways launch you directly into the direction of travel? Your car has to turn in a direction as you enter the roadway.

technically if you parked with the rear of the vehicle to the garage, my childhood driveway was like this, as there was a road straight across from it. but then again I never parked like that.

I'm obsessed with blinkers, and I don't even drive

Seeing ppl not using them sends my temperature up about 20 degrees and brings out a desire to kill

I blame the non-blinker-using asshole who ran over my foot on a turn when I was a little kid

this thread took a "turn" for the worse

many xps to brimstead, you'd be signaling to a car in a driveway across from you that may be turning into the same lane

with no "indication"! xp

i don't think anyone has pointed out re: the driveway thing that it's good info for cross traffic.

one thing prob a majority of drivers dont understand is blinkers are for using before you change lanes if you put them on as youre changing lanes its not really that helpful cause ppl can just see yr car moving

I find the move-then-signal thing super irritating but I have heard that in some regions where drivers are notoriously assholes driver's education actually _encourages_ this behavior

the thing I run into all the time (which is almost as irritating) is people who brake for 20 feet and then turn on their signal. oh wow, you're turning, I thought maybe you just decided slowing down for no reason was a great idea

mysteriously the twin cities is one of the few places where people have actually slowed down to let me in when I put on my signal to change lanes

it could be related to the fact there seems to be an on-ramp for every five people in that area

I started backing into my driveway again last week, it is actually very good

mostly because I back out of it first thing in the morning when I'm barely competent enough to start a car

Ppl who leave themselves backing out of a driveway are dangerous and shouldnt be allowed operate spoons much less automobiles spoons i say
