NYT:
According to New York Cityβs shoveling rules, if it stops snowing between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., you have until 11 a.m. to clear your sidewalk.
In this case, the snow stopped falling around 2 a.m., the National Weather Service said.
All you need to do is clear a path four feet wide β enough to accommodate a wheelchair or double stroller. If you are a tenant, it is the landlordβs responsibility to clear the snow.
Of course, you could let nature and SnoMelt do the job for you. It is supposed to be sunny today, with a high of 33. (Interestingly, even when itβs below freezing, snow evaporates, going directly from a solid to a gas! The process is called sublimation.)
But that would be wrong. And you could be fined up to $150 and go to jail for up to 10 days, even for a first offense. And the city could shovel your walk and bill you for it.

ha, i've choked down one of those pies before. second worst food item i've ever ordered in a brooklyn bar. (worst was a grilled cheese at pacific standard that was so thin that i thought they were just serving me a single piece of white bread that had been stepped on)
