that's not really a grievance is it? petitioning to have c&ps removed from search results is complaining, that is more of a caveat to an ongoing violation of a known basic rule

eh, the Scaruffi c&ping and the 77 c&ping are still two separate incidents (even though they stem from similar drunken impulses), and it's good practice to start a new mod request thread for a new incident rather than turning an existing thread with a specific purpose into a 'rolling [user] behaving badly' thread. but I'm not seriously bothered about this, and I guess it was fair game to bump that thread considering that the mods chose not to lock it.

the reason was more to situate it within that pattern of drunk excesses rather than call inordinate attention to something which has got people banned before

ah, in that case I can see where you're coming from, although I still feel like a generic 'delete 77 content' thread would be better for that purpose. I just didn't want my thread to turn into a wins pile-on, but that was clearly the opposite of your intention.
