nice mix by a friend of a friend who djs in florida, oddball P&P type disco selection with lots of double-ups and scratchin

didnt work with rapidshare for me though.
― ☪, Sunday, 5 April 2009 15:51 (seventeen years ago)
yeah, they seem to be fighting some kind of arms race to get past the screens. works for zshare for me at the moment.
― caek, Sunday, 5 April 2009 15:53 (seventeen years ago)
ooh i needed this thanx caek
― goaty (harbl), Sunday, 5 April 2009 15:55 (seventeen years ago)
upload with sharebee so skipscreen can automatically choose the best download site (rapidshare, zshare, etc.)
― caek, Sunday, 5 April 2009 15:56 (seventeen years ago)
it says on their blog it can't skip rapidshare's countdown but will at least start the download automatically when the countdown stops
― dmr, Sunday, 5 April 2009 16:56 (seventeen years ago)
cool. that is my main problem with those countdowns. i forget they're running and open a new tab, and then when i remember to come back i have to start again.
― caek, Sunday, 5 April 2009 16:58 (seventeen years ago)
anyone know any good blogs for old films? got about all the mp3 blogs I'll ever need in my favourites, but severely lacking videoz.

Eurythmics - b-sides from 'Love Is A Stranger' 12", proto-acid, very strange, 1982. 'Monkey, Monkey' made it to CD but I got sick of waiting for someone else to do a transfer of 'Let's Just Close Our Eyes'

Monkey Monkey is/was a big "chicago" record, but I always play Let's Just Close Our Eyes. I always put it on and am like "guess who this is...now guess...wait for the vocals...now guess".
I have some other 12" of theirs with wicked cool instrumental b-sides.

I have that record but don't remember liking it. The surprise is you're not supposed to be able to tell that it's Dave and Annie.
― dan selzer, Thursday, 23 April 2009 04:22 (seventeen years ago)
Annie and Dave are blacked out on the cover for contractual reasons I think. I had a copy but sold it. I remember nothing about it.
― CosMc (Raw Patrick), Thursday, 23 April 2009 09:16 (seventeen years ago)
it's great! kinda slow strip tease synth pop with heavy distorted guitar
― a somnambulist in an ambulance (r1o natsume), Thursday, 23 April 2009 19:26 (seventeen years ago)
it's ok, I like some early Chris & Cosey. pretty excited to see TG tonight.
if you're liking early 80's primitive, this is one of the better Schnitzler records, though it's closer to John Bender than acid

just in case anyone missed these, like i did:

obscure lofi japanese electronics 1979/1981. "There is not too much 80s production, but really foggy bass pulses, random voices interspersed, and a lot of rhythmic ideas."
― GÖTT DAT SCHING (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Friday, 24 April 2009 03:21 (seventeen years ago)
Thanks for the Tolerance--"Divin" is especially great, although it's neat to hear them use more reverbed-out piano on "Anonym"...

Thanks--I haven't made music with Sandro Perri in a long time; we've made a few aborted attempts at recording (little goofy things like a Moondog cover, and other false starts), but for now we just buy records for each other and geek out about other people's music (and have DJed together at parties a few times) for lack of collaborative sparks. Unofficially broken up, but not in a bad way at all, just for lack of ideas/urgency.
Sandro has a whole new batch of singing songs that he's figuring out how to arrange/what people to put together as his backing group (and saving up for studio time, no doubt), and I've been making a lot of self-released home-fi solo clatter as Kanada 70, up at http://www.myspace.com/kanada70music
