a smart car almost hit me on my bike today b/c the guy over-shot a stop sign. i didn't really know how to feel. because i have cruelly judged the smart car as generally impotent.

the ease of totalling

i like this phrase

rrrobyn, Wednesday, 13 August 2008 16:19 (seventeen years ago)

an $11k car is by definition easier to total than one more expensive

This is not true.

Kerm, Wednesday, 13 August 2008 17:23 (seventeen years ago)

you can total it more efficiently

harbl, Wednesday, 13 August 2008 17:43 (seventeen years ago)

I definitely thought that was Bud Selig trying to sell that car.

you're lucky, if he hit you his car could've been totalled and I doubt you have bike insurance

amazon.com bomb

most spaghetti westerns are analogous to tossing a scorpion into a boxful of fire ants. There's a good chance you'll see an interesting fight or two, but you won't much care who crawls out of the box at the end.

Edward III, Thursday, 14 August 2008 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

^^ My neighbor did that all the time when we were kids. He cared enough that he once took a lizard out of the fight, on grounds that it was cute and had no chance.

nabisco, Thursday, 14 August 2008 23:38 (seventeen years ago)

Un, I love that truth bomb as much as anybody else, but isn't that just the opening scene of The Wild Bunch? Or does that not detract from its bombitude?

James Redd and the Blecchs, Saturday, 16 August 2008 02:08 (seventeen years ago)

I've actually just realized by reading on the thread that you're a stubborn 3rd-aged adult and you are not very likely to change your mind or flex a little by now so I might just as well end the conversation here because I'm afraid we'll both be losing our time.

Frankie "Dishpan" Santana

He came onto the show the same time that Stockwell did. Hannibal knew him from his acting jobs because Frankie is a special effects artist. One of the best in the business. Frankie helped Murdock break out the guys, making it look like they had been executed. Using this, Stockwell also acquired Frankie's services. Stockwell blackmailed Frankie using his father as leverage. So when the team first required his services, he was working for Stockwell to insure that the guys would get caught. Frankie soon became a vital part of the A-Team. If the series would have lasted longer, he would have become a favorite of A-Team fans.

forksclovetofu, Thursday, 28 August 2008 17:26 (seventeen years ago)

i wish the series had lasted longer!
i wonder when they're gonna reboot this show
