feel like this is actually kind of a progressive racist vision, like it acknowledges that race is culturally constructed, race can be the continent where your ancestors originated or it can just be the neighborhood in which you currently reside

racism is def bad but u know what else is bad, tasting menus, racism/neighborhoodism is just another aspect the abuse inherent in this dining style

you know whats good paying exorbitant fees to have a server interrupt your meal to explain what each little piece of food is, then u take a picture of the dish then u talk about how it tasted, this place is the pinnacle of the form tho where u even sit at a counter like in a diner and watch the chef perform his... cooking

When I did a sushi tasting menu the server explained where in the world each fish was flown in from that day and it just made me feel very depressed and guilty
