Newhome1_02Victoria writes: "... my husband and I read your site all the time. We'd love for a Trader Joes to move into Prospect or Crown Heights. There are all those warehouses on Dean, Bergen, and Sterling (past Washington). Any ideas about how to bring Trader Joe's to our neighborhood?"
The story is that Trader Joe's is looking for a storefront somewhere in Brooklyn but, a spokeswoman says, "we need to find a deal that makes sense for us."
According to the Daily News article, "Trader Joe's is still considering how much parking it will need ... 'We're trying to be open-minded' ..."

Before TJ's came to Chicago proper, I used to drive out to the suburbs to stock up.

West Coast Trader Joe's has become the bastion of really obnoxious daytime child guardians coming in with childs/pets in purses, pretending no one else is in the aisle and storming their way to get shit, knocking everyone else shit over, making excuses for it while the employees have to clean up the Trader's Joe's 32 ounce clam juice or whatever, and hearing the employees ding the bell every time more than 2 people might be actually waiting because then the mom or Mr. mom will complain to the manager for having to wait, but hey they have $3 wine, and have veggie corn dogs.
Trader's Joes West Coast Edition = NAAAWT NOIZE AT ALL (AT LEAST NOT GOOD NOIZE)

*gets out false teeth and cane*
I remember the days as a kid where the only Trader Joe's you could go to in this town, or maybe country, was right in between Westwood and Santa Monica on Pico Blvd., and the only things they stocked them were corn chips, fruit baskets, and specialty soaps.
and WE LIKED IT!

uh the east coast ones are exactly like this too. They're just not as bad with it as, say, Whole Foods.
