i love riding the bus, it's brighter than the metro, it's um blue instead of nasty orange and white, somehow more relaxing less crowded.

repetition can be good. did i even spell that right?

i just would choose subway over bus. and biking over that.
maybe b/c i've spent a lot of my life on public transit buses. also i get a little motion-ill too ugh

tell me more about these fresh air/pretty girl buses

i am sure in most big cities the bus is fun, but in denver everytime i ride the bus it seems most passengers are hobos and stinky people in starter jackets

so i just drive my suburban SUV instead. i left it running in the parking garage while i ran into work real quick (8 hours).

90% of my bus love comes from riding the metro for 3 years straight, i'm sure i'll get sick of it.

standing on a train slightly > standing on a bus

i like it when the bus driver is angry at his union and/or employer and wears non-regulation shorts and turns the radio up

and is surly in a nice way

i had a bus driver who'd play 'whistle while you work' on the morning route

i hate riding the bus, but then again my experience is limited almost exclusively to school and l.a. transit buses.

buses in DC are more likely to have younger people on them, not going directly from suburban condos to government buildings - probably these people arent actually better-looking, but definitely more my style

Brooklyn buses are great, you get to listen to all kinds of conversations and they go places the subway doesn't.

brooklyn buses are alright, but i wouldn't want to depend on one for my commute again.

montreal buses are generally slow and stifling

streetcars are pretty awesome though!

i would ride the bus over taking the subway anyday. i find the bus comforting and relaxing.

there was a douchebag on the bus this morning trying to negotiate a lower rate on a credit card or something before finally canceling his account. talked way too loud the entire ride then not only left his newspaper on the seat but drank the last of his coffee and dropped the cup on the floor inside the bus before stepping out the back door. THERE WAS A FUCKING TRASH BARREL RIGHT THERE!!! i found it disproportionately infuriating.

life is rough

i like the bus, but it's definitely a leisure time activity and not really practical for my commute--traffic is too unpredictable and schedule not dependable enough.

i used to hate riding the bus, but where i live now, there's never more than 3 other passengers, and most of the time it's just me. and if i'm late to the bustop the driver waits for me. i also don't have to ring the bell, because he knows where i get off.

BART is neat, Rubes, you're guna love it. There are robot voices that tell you when the next train is coming and the seats are cushioned! It's like BLADE RUNNER!

"it's like blade runner" and/or "it's like logan's run" would basically be my main reasons why I love the DC metro

today I fucked up my timetable and was engrossed in my book so I went through the cemetery to the pentagon and had to reverse direction after going through two stops and it only made me 12 minutes late to work. that shit is money.
