if anyone is at leisure and interested in watching world cup group games (i.e. the best bit), i'll probably be starting off in the great georgina on thursday (4pm, brazil croatia) then black forest on friday (12pm mexico cameroon, 3pm spain netherlands, 6p chile australia (probably won't stick around for this one)). i'm going solo and will bring a book/ipad, but company welcome.

also what about usa / ghana on monday at 6pm?

p.s. i'll be watch the england games alone because they make me unbearable.

those bars are both in ft greene/clinton hill, but can travel for e.g. the USA game (as long as it's not to a bar in williamsburg full of english people)

in 2006 i watched the germany-argentina quarterfinal that came down to a shootout in cafe lafayette with germans on one side of me n my friends and argentinians on the other and that p much filled up the entire place it was cool

if you flip it the other way around, the ugly truth is that england are really the cowboys of world cup footie. but unfortunately they are probably the closest analogue to the jets in this tournament as well. big market team with unrealistic expectations, won it all once back in the 60s, usually end up a laughing stock. this has kind of ruined my day.
