As of 2011, it costs 2.41¢ US (or $0.0241 US Dollars (USD)) to make a penny, making the coin's face value less than its actual value. The cost first exceeded the face value of pennies in 2006.

Thanks to capitalism, all of these things have destroyed the planet irreparably.

Also capitalism has not invented mary poppins pockets, i call shenanigans.

Must have missed the pocket VCR revolution.

everyone's posting the lamest "conservative images," right? these can't be the best, most insightful, most biting or withering or caustic material that the conservative movement has to offer.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 19 April 2014 14:24 (twelve years ago)

powerful. these images are powerful

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 19 April 2014 14:37 (twelve years ago)

i think a thread where ilxors tried to post the most salient conservative memes and infographics would be a good idea, and i'd be interested to see how it compares to this thread

een, Saturday, 19 April 2014 15:22 (twelve years ago)

My sense is that conservatives are much better at manipulating language than visual images. They fall back lazily on the usual patriotic symbols, like the flag and Mt Rushmore and saluting soldiers. Lately, they've been fetishizing Reagan's portrait, too.

Aimless, Saturday, 19 April 2014 17:14 (twelve years ago)

Perhaps it is as much a fault of the US left as anything, there is no reason why the flag and the constitution and saluting soldiers couldn't be embraced by the left as symbols of freedom, equality, power through peace, charity for the poor rather than the rich, etc. Those symbols should be up for grabs for ALL Americans yet it feels kind of strange to (for instance) look at 60s leftist radicals and see them embracing the flag.

ya but sheep grow back their wool. if you killed the SheeplePig for meat, you wouldn't get much of a wool harvest.

The right kind of SheeplePig would grow back its meat too.

So is the assumption here that proper conservative women hate penis?

building a desert (art), Thursday, 8 May 2014 19:19 (twelve years ago)

afaict the thinking goes something like, "only likes the penis to which she is married and then only just enough to submit to its impregnating forces."

carl agatha, Thursday, 8 May 2014 19:21 (twelve years ago)

More or less penis ambivalence then
