Are these cars just new in the US? They were to be seen frequently in London at least five years ago, maybe even more.

they're new in the u.s., but only the fortwo line is being sold here at the moment. they're selling really well, apparently!

This is true of pretty much all modern cars. The right rear passenger door on my Dodge truck is completely fucked because I let my grandfather back it around a corner and he went up against a very stumpy bush. At maybe 5mph A BUSH gouged two big dents in the door.

I think maybe the ease of totalling them actually has something to do with why they're safer, actually? Energy transfer, etc..

a smart car almost hit me on my bike today b/c the guy over-shot a stop sign. i didn't really know how to feel. because i have cruelly judged the smart car as generally impotent.
