rip dom passantino 3/5/09 never forget (max), Thursday, 5 March 2009 19:31 (seventeen years ago)

I brought a visiting blogger to Sripraphai. Later that week his friend took him to Momofuku. He said Srip was better!

dan selzer, Thursday, 5 March 2009 19:52 (seventeen years ago)

*note...not a FOOD blogger

dan selzer, Thursday, 5 March 2009 19:52 (seventeen years ago)

i dont really know shit about shit but momofuku is pretty good and i suggest the pork buns

rip dom passantino 3/5/09 never forget (max), Thursday, 5 March 2009 19:53 (seventeen years ago)

He said Srip was better!

I don't think that's even a controversial opinion, Sripraphai is way better

dmr, Thursday, 5 March 2009 20:13 (seventeen years ago)

will eat pork buns

Tracy Michael Jordan Catalano (Jordan), Thursday, 5 March 2009 20:15 (seventeen years ago)

Tracy Michael Jordan Catalano (Jordan), Thursday, 5 March 2009 20:18 (seventeen years ago)

yur twit (tehresa), Thursday, 5 March 2009 20:20 (seventeen years ago)

mookieproof, Thursday, 5 March 2009 20:21 (seventeen years ago)

I don't think that's even a controversial opinion, Sripraphai is way better

the time for joke display names had passed imo (Lamp), Thursday, 5 March 2009 20:22 (seventeen years ago)

mookie go to srip with me sometime! it's cheap and delicious. you just have to trek to woodside (not that bad, really).

yur twit (tehresa), Thursday, 5 March 2009 20:29 (seventeen years ago)

momofuku all three of them is good if a little futuristic wasteland for my tastes - prob going to srip this weekend

ice cr?m, Thursday, 5 March 2009 21:19 (seventeen years ago)

my roomie is a sort of food blogger

The one who made a meat casserole last weekend? ;)

How can there be male ladybugs? (Laurel), Thursday, 5 March 2009 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

yur twit (tehresa), Thursday, 5 March 2009 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

yo tza a friend of mine just moved to astoria and i was thinking of organizing a not-quite-meet-in-the-middle hang out and was considering srip, u should come. it'll be soonish.

lady burt stanton (the schef (adam schefter ha ha)), Thursday, 5 March 2009 21:45 (seventeen years ago)

meat-in-the-middle

Tracy Michael Jordan Catalano (Jordan), Thursday, 5 March 2009 21:50 (seventeen years ago)

yeah totally, let me know.

yur twit (tehresa), Thursday, 5 March 2009 21:51 (seventeen years ago)

I had srip tonight. Tried the Fried Rice with Egg and Shrimp. Sounds basic but omg it was good. Garlicky with crispy onion, perfectly cooked shrimp, that little bit of chili oil they give with less spicy dishes. So good.

dan selzer, Friday, 6 March 2009 05:06 (seventeen years ago)

momofuku is alright. noodle bar, that is. ramen is better at setagaya, though the pork buns ARE amazing (but too expensive.)

ian, Friday, 6 March 2009 06:24 (seventeen years ago)

and yeah i've never heard a bad word about sripraphai, aside from your weird pork skin story.

ian, Friday, 6 March 2009 06:24 (seventeen years ago)

italians do it better party that night at poisson rouge feat. nite jewel and glass candy

i just went to the this here. amazing.

s1ocki, Friday, 6 March 2009 07:02 (seventeen years ago)

the pork skin story was Zabb Queens...which still has a few dishes that beat anything at Srip or anywhere else. Get the Crispy Pork and Chinese Broccoli. Unbelievable. Srip's version isn't so special.

dan selzer, Friday, 6 March 2009 13:42 (seventeen years ago)

allegedly 70 degrees on Sunday?? let's have piccanic
