I actually thought about telling my parents to stay in Flushing because there are nice clean hotels there and it's so close by. Last time they stayed in Jersey City which makes no fucking sense.
If I was a good son though I'd just buy an air mattress and we'd sleep in the living room and give them our room.

makes no fucking sense except being 1/2 price of manhattan, I mean
no one shd stay in hotels when theres airbnb
― lag∞n, Sunday, 12 January 2014 20:51 (twelve years ago)
i think my parents are too old and set in their ways to airbnb

man once you get a sweet ass apt for less than a hotel theres no goin back, there are even ones thatre defacto hotels that don't have anyones weird stuff in them cause no one lives there
― lag∞n, Sunday, 12 January 2014 21:01 (twelve years ago)
wait what you stay in peoples homes, and meet them? eugh weird
― is this semi-amateurism? (darraghmac), Sunday, 12 January 2014 21:03 (twelve years ago)
no you don't meet them but its often someone's apt and they are not there but there stuff is
― lag∞n, Sunday, 12 January 2014 21:07 (twelve years ago)
although some people do rent out rooms so they are there
― lag∞n, Sunday, 12 January 2014 21:08 (twelve years ago)
but then theres lots that are strictly airbnb
well maybe u meet them when they give u the keys
― lag∞n, Sunday, 12 January 2014 21:09 (twelve years ago)
tho some people use managers for that
sometimes there's just a Keybox w a code tho prob not so much in ny
― lag∞n, Sunday, 12 January 2014 21:10 (twelve years ago)
didn't NYC crack down on airbnb recently?
― signed, J.P. Morgan CEO (Hurting 2), Sunday, 12 January 2014 21:24 (twelve years ago)
btw it looks like the Wyndham in LIC is like 100ish a night. Pretty good.
tons of hotels in LIC and Flushing, some even in walking distance to some kind of transportation and or culture. But BEWARE, many LIC area hotels in really terrible areas really far from everything and offer no help other than being halfway between LAG and Manhattan.

What if you get one close to the 7
You're just one stop away from Grand Central then
Bet they're expensive though
― 龜, Sunday, 12 January 2014 22:07 (twelve years ago)
yeah that Wyndham one is actually not too far from Court Square. Don't know about immediate vicinity, but it's close to the water so it can't be that bad.

eh i dont think theres much they can really do unless they want to declare a war on pretend hotels or something

GAA Humour > Micheal O' Muircheartaigh Quotes"... and Brian Dooher is down injured. And while he is, i'll tell ye a little story. I was in Times' Square in New York last week, and I was missing the Championship back home. So I approached a news stand and I said 'I suppose ye wouldn't have the Kerryman would ye?' To which, the Egyptian behind the counter turned to me and he said 'do you want theNorth Kerry edition or the South Kerry edition?'... he had both...so I bought both. And Dooher is back on his feet..."
