with absolutely no evidence, i'm going to say he's faking it. he reminds me of this kid in middle school who faked tripping over his shoelaces, and then when i pretended not to notice and didn't say anything, he "tripped" over his shoelaces again just a minute later.

i think he's sincere (though obv he like being the center of attn, they said as much in the clip), i've known ppl like that w/ bizarrely ott easily triggered fear responses. there was one women who used to work in the lab w/ us that's the only adult i've ever known that could be routinely scared by fake snakes/mice. i have a dog who's like this also.

i remember a really sad evening eating alone at the macaroni grill in boulder. i was pretty lonely that summer, and my gf across the country called and was angry with me for no reason and yelled at me and hung up so i was like fuck it, i'm going to the macaroni grill. something about looking over the menu for the perfect red wine was just awful.

ZS, i too had a lonely guy meal at macaroni grill once. 2000-ish. it was pitiful. they sat me right in the middle of the place.

I was seated out in the open air so that everyone walking by could see what a lonely guy I was.
