that supersoul comp underrated imo
― moonship journey to baja, Monday, 16 February 2009 21:23 (seventeen years ago)
yeah individual tracks from that comp are great. plastique de reve's "lost in the city" was definitely one of my favorites of last year

someone on the europhoric pianos thread mentioned it was hard to get hold of the old soul capsule stuff on aspect music and law of grace is a fortune on vinyl so voila

while i grabbed Fistful of Ferrets mix from here, was hoping there might be some other Idjut/Phantom Slasher/ Pastrami Man edits worth absorbing. i've heard the Gloria Gaynor, Chilly, and "Goin' Greek" one, but can someone supply the Bohannon/ Ike and Tina and others of interest? their 12"s disappear so f***in' fast.

don't work
― (jaxon) ( .) ( .) (jaxon), Thursday, 26 February 2009 06:57 (seventeen years ago)
maybe it's mediafire?
i think the problem is you've got a slash where there should be a question mark. but mediafire seems to be having problems ATM and i couldn't figure out if that'd work.

― Blackout Crew are the Beatles of donk (jim), Wednesday, 4 March 2009 19:15 (seventeen years ago)
honestly, i've picked up a few of his albums and haven't been totally sold. they're sorta fusiony with kinda soft melodies. but he does use TONS of rad weird experimental sounds. one clip on youtube, HE PLAYS HIS BEARD!
― (jaxon) ( .) ( .) (jaxon), Wednesday, 4 March 2009 19:55 (seventeen years ago)
click the little speaker icon near each track title here to see what i'm talking about. i think this is supposed to be his best album too :(

off of A Musica Livre de Hermeto Paschoal
wait who plays a pig exactly
― and why (roxymuzak), Saturday, 7 March 2009 01:59 (seventeen years ago)
hermeto pascoal. blind, albino, brazilian experimental jazz dude. less "plays" him, rather records him as a musical instrument.
― (jaxon) ( .) ( .) (jaxon), Saturday, 7 March 2009 03:56 (seventeen years ago)
