yahoo properties are not synergistic at all though, it's a bunch of cobbled together properties, probably yahoo is fine with that

tumblr is #32 on alexa's web rankings, behind.... wordpress

maybe yahoo is just planning on putting some ads on there, could be worth it i guess, but id have to think at that price theyre depending on people keeping on using it for a long time which seems pretty suspect, especially as theyll prob fuck it up

yeah... putting ads into the dashboard stream a la twitter is the easiest way but also the most intrusive

maybe they'll data harvest, see what posts get the most notes, analyze, sell that info

im kinda suspicious of the idea that all this social media infos is so valuable and resalable, like im sure there are people who want to buy it but not a billion dollars worth

w the possible exception of twitters real time infos which does seem like it could be of grave interest to financial types
