a good friend of mine growing up was the product of an affair. his dad and mom were then married. he had a (half) sister who was a little older, but in the same grade. so you can understand this must have been a somewhat scandalous situation in my hometown, when these two were little. i didn't know a thing about it until some brat girl who was in a play with both of us brought it up in an argument, and he looked like he wanted to kill her.

anyway, there's your pro-life politics.
