one of my favorite albums is Maurice McIntyre's "Humility in the Light of the Creator" because of the native american chanting in a few of the songs. this totally reminds me of it. it's pretty sparse (just chanting and shaker type percussion) and after a while gets kinda samey, but it's pretty great. the Johnny Buffalo tracks are super rad and pretty psychedelic.

after a guy I know brought up baile funk recently I pulled out this old compilation, obscure favela hardcore stuff from brazil. they should pipe this stuff out of ice cream trucks, the missing tracks were probably confiscated at the border for being too raw.
