Thanks Dan!
The stuff he produced for Dollar is in my Top 10 of his. I could listen to this on loop.

Haha! There's something very "Mentos commercial" about "Mirror Mirror".
― Capitaine Jay Vee, Thursday, 20 March 2008 20:31 (eighteen years ago)
Is that the Red and Blue mix of Owner of a Lonely Heart?

^ i think this youtube is mislabeled because the version i have from the 1978 lp is def a different mix of this song
― Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Saturday, 22 March 2008 19:24 (eighteen years ago)
pre-kraftwerk?
― dan selzer, Saturday, 22 March 2008 23:35 (eighteen years ago)
That's what someone told me but I'm guessing that's wrong as there's no recorded output before the late 70s iirc
― Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Saturday, 22 March 2008 23:48 (eighteen years ago)
I thought I recognised....I have some of that from a CD I borrowed from tropical jeremy...released as Roboterwerke

Michael Hurley live in Astoria, Oregon this past March 1st. Recorded by me with a digital unit on a chair about three feet from him. Sorry for the last song cutting off, I may eventually get a better/complete version of this show as there was another taper there with a better setup.

sonny sharrock is ruling no real words yet for 'ask the ages' - gotta live in it for a while b/c whoaa so weird that suddenly am so into noise jazz (? or whatever) and want to listen to it all the time, like some wire got tripped in my brain a few weeks ago. which i guess was also when i saw a really great show that was all music destruction and rebuild and super inspiring. exciting times.
― rrrobyn, Monday, 24 March 2008 01:06 (eighteen years ago)

I checked that out from the library once. Buffy St Marie's cover "helpless" reduced me to tears. I was in a fragile state.

both those supersempftt albums are cool. "we found it out" sounds like robin zander with a casio at a pool party.
― tipsy mothra, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 04:02 (eighteen years ago)
oops i mean supersempfft
― tipsy mothra, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 04:04 (eighteen years ago)
Discogs.com shows those dudes doing some related stuff; I want to find it.
This YouTube looks like an alternate mix of the track off the 1st SS record
― Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 04:15 (eighteen years ago)
"we found it out" sounds like robin zander with a casio at a pool party.
yeah for real. that track was on bumrocks a couple years ago, I knew I had heard these guys somewhere before. bumrocks puts up so much stuff it's easy to forget what was what.
those "wutt wutt" robot dub tracks on the other album are cool
