Idiology is I think their most "important" album. It's the one where they push their aesthetic to its furthest limit. Not in terms of noise, but in terms of concept. They manage to create hyper-futuristic pop music while also having a certain... Schoenbergian purity... unity of structure and sound. It's utterly new. Perhaps just as new to the "song" form as Schoenberg was to the classical form back in the day. They deconstruct every level of the sound object world... from the concept-sound to the sound-sound to the production-sound to the melody-sound. LOL. They reduce pop music to an avant-garde art form with just as much validity as any given Beethoven or Mozart. The possibilities become endless.

The more I think about drones - which is more often than I'd like - I wonder if ultimately humanity will look back on them like nukes, albeit at a less immediately destructive level. If enough of these things exist and are put to ill use at once....

Well, I thought he was OK, nice enough, atmospheric, and so forth, but after all that bragging, I feel like, well, no, it isn't the kind of music that supports the level of braggadocio he writes about himself. I don't want to sound prejudicial about people's accent, a statement which automatically convicts me without escape, but his pronunciation makes it a tougher listen than it should have been.

Vocal quality is nice, though he seems o be forcing it out in some way.

The backing tracks are trippy and free. I think it cold be a really good track with some work.....

But he should not criticise the music of the Beatles, George, Sir Paul, etc.......
