i also had one once for about 4 posts that was inspired by "dayo" after he revealed the formula for his name, but the name I came up with was significantly less cool than his, so i switched it rather quickly.

remy is/was cool ppl, a mod - i've been reading less ilx lately so don't know if he changed his name, i just noticed this soda guy is starting a lot of threads

i wasn't totally serious like i know that i have read some remy posts it's just hard for me to sort everyone out mentally, a lot of ilxors are still one big contiguous blob to me, every once in a while i am able to pull someone apart but there are a lot of you and you keep changing your names and new people keep showing up

why do people choose names that make them unrecognizable?

i hate my current name. i started hating it before i even registered it, but screen names have always been a huge challenge for me, so i'm used to hating my name. in another place i was "brownstone" for years because i was deciding on a name right before my school's computer lab was closing and the guns and roses song was on my mind.

That's always been a mystery to me... Okay, I get it if the person actually wants to be unrecognizable and doesn't want anyone to connect her to her previous username, but that doesn't seem to be the motivation behind most name changes...?
