dumont burger is overrated. they season their meat mixture with something i don't like much, and it's fucking expensive for a p small burger. go down the street a few blocks to spikehill for a great & affordable burger, just order is one-degree less-cooked than you like it.

and as much as some ppl talk shit about the crowd & vibe at spikehill (and it can get kinda douchey) it's not gonna be mucbh better than dumont burger.

I used to go out with these people who had made themselves an informal Burger Club, who would go on dinner outings around the city for burgers. We went to Dumont once and I don't remember them being anything special at all. Whereas I'm STILL convinced that Molly's has the best burger in the city but no one except Ian believes me (and he's the one who took me to eat there).

also a big fan of spike hill, obv, and paul's, and the corner bistro is fine but nothing to rave abt imo.

i got arepas with surm and it was the perfect thing, we didn't have to wait much either. except my leftovers disappeared from backstage, i blame the band who closed out the early show. :(

the short story is i started sending music to rupture for his wfmu show a few years ago and it slowly developed from there. everyone in the crew is really great and was super warm & welcoming.
