I'm pretty much a gimp right now, but do you have a guess as to show start/end time?

Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 15 August 2012 14:54 (thirteen years ago)

glasslands tends to run on the 10-2 schedule iirc.

one dis leads to another (ian), Wednesday, 15 August 2012 15:11 (thirteen years ago)

they have an early show (8:30) that night, so i think our show starts at 11:00? hopefully it will run tight since there are so many acts, everyone is doing 1/2 hr sets. i guess since everyone but me is a dj there should be very little change-over time.

40oz of tears (Jordan), Wednesday, 15 August 2012 16:37 (thirteen years ago)

you got a website? I'm curious what you do if you don't dj

"Batshit crazy," the foam clog tycoon said. (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 15 August 2012 17:11 (thirteen years ago)

yurp

i play sampler + live drums and only do my own music, so it's still electronic but i'm trying to make it feel as live as i can.

40oz of tears (Jordan), Wednesday, 15 August 2012 17:23 (thirteen years ago)

lol yes

lag∞n, Friday, 17 August 2012 18:10 (thirteen years ago)

dumont burger is overrated. they season their meat mixture with something i don't like much, and it's fucking expensive for a p small burger. go down the street a few blocks to spikehill for a great & affordable burger, just order is one-degree less-cooked than you like it.

one dis leads to another (ian), Friday, 17 August 2012 23:15 (thirteen years ago)

and as much as some ppl talk shit about the crowd & vibe at spikehill (and it can get kinda douchey) it's not gonna be mucbh better than dumont burger.

one dis leads to another (ian), Friday, 17 August 2012 23:15 (thirteen years ago)

i know yer having arepas i just like to talk shit abt dumont's burger whenever i can.

one dis leads to another (ian), Friday, 17 August 2012 23:16 (thirteen years ago)

I retroactively withdraw the suggestion of Dumont Burger

dmr, Monday, 20 August 2012 19:20 (thirteen years ago)

last time I ate there was probably four years ago, just brainstorming here

dmr, Monday, 20 August 2012 19:20 (thirteen years ago)

hey man, sorry, i did not mean to offend anyone. i just have an irrational dislike of that place. their mac n cheese is greeeeaat but $$$$

one dis leads to another (ian), Monday, 20 August 2012 19:30 (thirteen years ago)

hahaha no offense taken, both you and Laurel knocked the Dumont Burg, we're all cool here

dmr, Monday, 20 August 2012 20:18 (thirteen years ago)

they season their meat mixture with something i don't like much

also lol at this

and good seeing you guys yesterday

dmr, Monday, 20 August 2012 20:20 (thirteen years ago)

nice to see you dave!
why is that lol? their burgers have a heavily flavored taste, almost marinated! it's.. weird.

one dis leads to another (ian), Monday, 20 August 2012 20:21 (thirteen years ago)

just the way you phrased it is funny to me

dmr, Monday, 20 August 2012 20:22 (thirteen years ago)

the mystery of it

dmr, Monday, 20 August 2012 20:23 (thirteen years ago)

secret sauce

one dis leads to another (ian), Monday, 20 August 2012 20:23 (thirteen years ago)

I used to go out with these people who had made themselves an informal Burger Club, who would go on dinner outings around the city for burgers. We went to Dumont once and I don't remember them being anything special at all. Whereas I'm STILL convinced that Molly's has the best burger in the city but no one except Ian believes me (and he's the one who took me to eat there).

looking back I should have answered jordan's question only in GIFs

lol.

molly's is very good, perhaps my fave.
also a big fan of spike hill, obv, and paul's, and the corner bistro is fine but nothing to rave abt imo.

one dis leads to another (ian), Monday, 20 August 2012 20:29 (thirteen years ago)

luger burger is v good

one dis leads to another (ian), Monday, 20 August 2012 20:29 (thirteen years ago)

frankly i like the burger at the diner near my house a lot too.

one dis leads to another (ian), Monday, 20 August 2012 20:29 (thirteen years ago)

i wanna try the burger at the double windsor, hear it's good.

one dis leads to another (ian), Monday, 20 August 2012 20:32 (thirteen years ago)

i got arepas with surm and it was the perfect thing, we didn't have to wait much either. except my leftovers disappeared from backstage, i blame the band who closed out the early show. :(

show went great btw.

40oz of tears (Jordan), Tuesday, 21 August 2012 15:07 (thirteen years ago)

glad the show was good, how did you get hooked up w/ those guys?

dmr, Tuesday, 21 August 2012 17:21 (thirteen years ago)

the short story is i started sending music to rupture for his wfmu show a few years ago and it slowly developed from there. everyone in the crew is really great and was super warm & welcoming.

40oz of tears (Jordan), Tuesday, 21 August 2012 18:45 (thirteen years ago)

skrill xx (cozen), Monday, 10 September 2012 16:42 (thirteen years ago)

airbnb

lag∞n, Monday, 10 September 2012 16:43 (thirteen years ago)

Um friend just stayed at somewhere on 35th St? But it was like $225 a night which, yikes. There have to be better options than that.

purveyor of generations (in orbit), Monday, 10 September 2012 16:51 (thirteen years ago)

Friends stayed last June at the Hotel Pennsylvania near MSG, which I would've thought was a fleabag, but they survived.

Anything under $200/n in Manhattan is miraculous, no?
