Have you heard this band "afri rampo" everyone's talking about? Are they good? I heard a rumor that they're coming out with something on tzadik, but tzadik's site makes no mention of them. Where can I find their stuff?

i tried to google and saw that they played it in Chapel Hill in 96 and the setlist note says "(polvo cover)"?

that's a weird resolution chord (G# instead of G). I wonder if it's minor.

Dunno. I have two live mp3s at home. The lyrics are pretty simple, but differ on both versions. I can't remember exactly but Malkmus is doing his oh-so-jaded voice and one of the versions is about going to an upscale party and never spilling your drink and wearing furs, etc etc.

If I get out of work at a reasonable time tonight, I'll transcribe the lyrics. It's a really great song and I'd love to hear a finished version if one exists.
