i've been feeling grumpy on ilx because every thread that ppl actually post to is about racism/sexism/classism or is a retarded movie poll

this thread is super hilarious recently, surprised lamp is older than me. i always thought of him and maybe stevie d as being the posters i felt most "contemporaneous" with. i guess the overlap of strict parents and transatlantic-delay pop culture common-ground accounts for some of that. ilx is always super boring but horribly addictive this is its unique malignancy and curious charm.

This thread took a weird turn, I'm not even sure what people are talking about... I thought Lagoon was some new poster, but apparently he's an old one, or at least some people already seem to have come up with a full detailed analysis of his posting style?

Anyway, on the subject of JW, I'd have no problem if he was allowed to come back. He's been banned for 5 years now or something, I'm sure he's mellowed out, and probably the current code could even be messed up with like the old one, if people still are afraid of that.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 08:25 (fourteen years ago)

"couldn't even be messed up"

John Nestle Harding (loves laboured breathing), Tuesday, 13 March 2012 12:14 (fourteen years ago)

i don't get why people talk about "analysing" somebody's posting style? if you mean "noticing that somebody posts in a particular way a lot because it amuses/annoys you" then surely any regular on here must do that. unless people just post into a void without reading what other posters oh hang on
