those are pretty nice vahid and ya i do already own at least three pairs of dunks :/

(including another pair of brown high-tops... except they're leather and dark brown... and i wish i had another fresh new pair just like them)

yeah those visvim folk boots are a steal at only $468 ... i actually have two pairs of visvim FBT

i have to say i'm not really crazy about either pair, they're nice to look at when they're on the floor but they might be the most uncomfortable shoes i own. the soles are really flat and the one-piece construction means that parts are always digging into your feet. the leather/suede are very soft so i guess they're nice to rub on your face but they also offer little or no support and when your foot pronates the seams dig into your feet. the suede laces *never* stay tied and by the end of the day the suede "skirt" is always coming untied. i'm scared to death of spilling anything on them or getting them dirty because they cost like three bills apiece.

finally i wear size 12 and for some reason it doesn't look so great in that size. i guess they look good on five foot tall japanese fashionista dudes but when i wear them i always feel like i'm wearing something out of my wife's closet - she has a ton of suede booties, like all fashionista girls - or like i'm wearing oversized baby shoes.

when it comes down to it if i want to wear black suede shoes i reach for these first:

i've never regretted buying a pair of clarks originals since they're such great shoes, and i've never regretted a pair of vans since they've never cost me more than $60, but damn do i regret buying those visvims.

all of my shirts save a couple of flannels and a couple of army overshirts are white, blue or black and all of my sweaters, jackets and hoodies are navy or black, excepting a couple of gray sweatshirts and an ivory hoody.

Really want a pair of Wesco boots similar to these, but it comes out to $700 plus $100 for the custom fitting pattern.

these are yuketen's interpretation of 1940 officer's shoes (what branch of service i have no idea) but i have no idea where to buy, can't even find a japanese retailer for these

i think they are sorta like these aldens or these allen-edmonds but i like the thick, exaggerated cut of the quarter and toe cap and the chunkiness of the sole.

yeah i get where you're coming from lamp, i used to covet stuff like this but then i realized i want to be able to wear the same clothes 20 years from now, or at least look back on pics and not think "jeez i look like total kiddult trash"

there were these two grizzled old dudes who used to hang out around downtown palo alto together every day, they were in their 50s or 60s and they had big grey beards and wore the same clothes every day too. big navy nautical sweaters or varsity sweatshirts or hoodies, old paint splattered jeans, clarks boots or really plain one-color nike or vans sneakers, black patagonia rain jackets or army m-65s, rumpled oxford shirts. i'm pretty sure they were some type of self-employed artists. anyway they looked dope as fuck and since then i've been trying to dress like that as much as i can.

they also wore toques and berets but i'm not quite there yet

lol i thought u going somewhere else with this for sure. honestly tho since moving back east my style has become so much more dreary all i wear are filippa k boots and nike sb mids with jeans and t-shirts and a sweater and i miss cali style so much
