Speaking as the putative zing-slinger in that "Baby Psychology" post (which I agree wasn't a zing), mh has mostly got it: I was struck by the usage of the seemingly made-up "Baby Psychology" (instead of developmental/child psychology), the randomness of the example, and the odd implication that "baby psychology" was a breeze.

maybe it's psychology for babies, that'd have to be a pretty easy course

all I can say is that the "Baby Psychology" thing was kind of an in-joke among the professors at the college I went to, it's not really supposed to mean anything, it's simultaneously a joke about easy majors and comp sci people not understanding humans at all
