Man, I really love fleetwod mac but I still think they look fucking awful in those mid 70s promo shots (Tusk excepted). I really really hate Lindsey with beard and fro; looks like the fast food manager in "don't tell mom the babysitter's dead". Too much slovenly hippie and not enough feathery majestic

Lots of love for Fleetwood Mac at the University of Virginia. Student news magazine The Declaration, published at the University of Virginia, features More Than Just Second Hand News today by Anthony Amadeo Gallo, proving the vast diversity of present day Mac fans runs the gamut of ages from seniors to college kids -- folks in between the two life landmarks and on the fringes of each extreme.
Gallo's words are a fury of musical passion for Fleetwood Mac's Washington D.C. performance last week with expletives in all the right places. It just warms the heart to see young people appreciating classic, legendary bands (I still feel like a young people, but a decade and a half past college begs to differ I guess). He takes a big bite right off the bat:
Last week, I saw Fleetwood Fucking Mac, and it was the greatest night of my life, and I’m going to tell you all about how much it ruled.
You gotta love fan reviews. No mechanical analysis of musicality here, nor ridiculous time machine comparisons. Just degrees of awesomeness or sucksation. Mid-page Gallo says, "The jackpot hit when arguably the band’s two most powerfully emotional songs, “Never Going Back Again” (written by Lindsey) and “Storms” (Stevie), were played back-to-back. As the Lindsey/Stevie duel continued, it became apparent that Buck-Money was really on his game. The set ended with his killer guitar solo to “I’m So Afraid” and my personal party anthem “Go Your Own Way.” For an added bonus, Stevie and Lindsey returned to the stage for the encore holding hands. Founding father and drummer Mick Fleetwood (who looks older than my grandfather) introduced the band in between “World Turning” and “Don’t Stop,” and the show ended with Stevie’s stirring “Silver Springs,” in which she hauntingly sings, “I’ll follow you down ‘til the sound of my voice will haunt you/you’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you.”
Young Mr. Gallo says Fleetwood Mac can still bring the noise and while contemplating why he didn't spend $40 on a "Second Hand News" shirt, opines, "The Gold Dust Woman proved she can still rock, despite generally getting PWNED by Lindsey “Go Your Fucking Own Way” Buckingham. I was blown away by my favorite pop band, and can’t wait to take my kids to see them again when I’m forty-five. I’m sure they’ll be down."
