GYGAX.
MY MOST FAVORITE PAIR OF 501'z ARE ABOUT TO DIE. THEY ARE 32x34. I HAVE BOUGHT THIS SIZE OF 501'z BEFORE AND THEY WERE NOT THE SAME. TOO LONG. ARE 501'z DIFFERENT? IS THERE A TAG OR SOMETHING TO INDICATE THEIR DIFFERENCES, I WOULD LIKE THE SAME EXACT PAIR AS THE ONES THAT ARE ABOUT TO DIE, I AM GOING TO BUY A NEW PAIR TODAY.

DDB

DEEBZ (ddb), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

check the leather-like on the back to see if 501 is followed by "XX". If so, those are shrink to fit and a 34" should measure around 31-32" inseam length. if not, they are prewashed to 34".

when you say "about to die" is it in the butt, crotch or knee? Or just completely unsalvagable?

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 14:58 (twenty-one years ago)

IN THE BUTT

My Dinner With Little Lord Travolta (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 15:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Ratchet (nordicskilla), Sunday, 10 October 2004 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I met Geoff Rowley in BERKELEY, CA at the opening of a skateshop on San Pablo about 4 years ago. The day previous he was famously photographed doing a 50-50 down (not to mention a shove-it off the end) the 40' rail that runs diagonally down the side of the Levi's store into the intersection of Stockton/Post in Union Square. This ended up on a 2 page ad for Vans in Thrasher. Yay. He was very nice.

gygax! (gygax!), Sunday, 10 October 2004 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

a shove-it!

You know those stupid things they have at Disneyworld where they take your picture and then make it look like you were on the cover of a magazine? I have a full-page glossy of a 13-year old ADAM decked out in helmet and pads on the cover of THRASHER behind the words "WORLD'S GREATEST SKATER".

Tim,

I have no idea what is going on on that thread. I watched a SUCKDOG video once and they crucified and fellated(?) a young man tied to a cross. It was really bad quality. Plus we were all drunk and tired.

Dear gygax!,

Who are Morning 40 Federation and why does their name make me think that I hate them?

Sincerely,
F-punk Deez Nutz

Felonious Drunk (Felcher), Friday, 15 October 2004 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

F-Drunk,

A quick google says they are louisiana jam band. therefore i blindly defend your impulse to hate them.

on paper, but not in practice.*

*having to step over many of the people who do subscribe to that theory every morning on my way to work.

gygax! (gygax!), Friday, 15 October 2004 16:03 (twenty-one years ago)

do you hate the homeless?

Helios Creed (orion), Friday, 15 October 2004 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Not at all, I'm just saying there's a time and a place for daily consumption of 40 Oz. malt liquor*, and that first thing in the morning may not be the best allocation of one's priorities.

*or 16 oz. malt liquor in a silver/orange can.

You are Willie Brown and I claim my $30 Rice-A-Roni coupon.

Dear Gygax!,
Have you heard this band "afri rampo" everyone's talking about? Are they good? I heard a rumor that they're coming out with something on tzadik, but tzadik's site makes no mention of them. Where can I find their stuff?
thx,
DJ Felony Assault Appeal

Felonious Drunk (Felcher), Friday, 22 October 2004 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

HI FD,

they played SF/Oakland a few times about a month ago so they may be in the US on tour (eh..?) but i couldn't get out to any of the shows unfortunately.

i'm pretty ignorant of zorn/tzadik FWIW.

here's their site:

gygax, is your precious mlb 2004 game a good match for someone like me who doesn't want to press 20 buttons just to catch a fly ball?

wait for after the world series when the price drops. it's the only game that i've "broke"... it won't load anymore.

gygax! (gygax!), Friday, 22 October 2004 21:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Is it fun to play, though? I get turned off by baseball games that require the constant use of all 84 buttons that are on the PS2 controller.
