i've actually never heard his other stuff, what's it like?

jaxon, Thursday, 30 August 2007 19:10 (eighteen years ago)

my take is that he could be famous if he wanted to be, he puts all his best pop songs on 7" singles with pressings of 500 and then fills his CDs with really strange things -- I am a fan of that approach but if he just put out that one best-of he'd be international

felix is a friend so this is just a mix, anything with his name on it is worth getting

(by 'getting' I mean purchasing through the use of money)

Milton Parker, Thursday, 30 August 2007 19:29 (eighteen years ago)

i didn't think that teen tapes thing was available anymore, thus why i put it up.

jaxon, Thursday, 30 August 2007 19:42 (eighteen years ago)

it's cool, I think his music should get out more. if professionals are jocking Dan Deacon then people should definitely be propagating Felix (though he's less on the geek plane than the mutant german Schnitzler / Tietchens one)

Milton Parker, Thursday, 30 August 2007 19:58 (eighteen years ago)

I had heard of FK thru 20jazzfunkgreats, they love that guy

My Head Sounds Like That (from 'Up')
Downside-Up (from 'Ovo', Elizabeth Frazier, vocals)

for god's sake don't even download that if you haven't heard gabriel 1976-1982, that's only for people who are curious but afraid that they're curious

xpost it's one track from disc 1 of the remastered 'exposure', the original 1979 mix

sorry if I misunderstood you sanskrit, ethics are sketchy on this thread but my posts are all self-made comps / singles from albums / out of print etc., this thread has inspired more purchases than any other thread on ILM for me etc., one last one for now and I'll shut up

I love Laurie. This hasn't made it to CD yet. Do you have 'Voices Within' from the same LP?

ah wait, 'drums' & 'voices within' are the last two tracks on obsolete music, which is great, need to read more carefully

if you like 'drums' you definitely want to find this:
