Page Fletcher hasn't seen the RoboCop movies and no effort was made to mimic Peter Weller's RoboCop movements. Page Fletcher instead worked out a RoboCop movement system for himself that he felt was appropriate for where the character was, physically and emotionally.

best ‘wtf are they thinking’ scene in the remake is when gary oldman, as the scientist who created robocop, decides to help the newly-robotic officer murphy deal with the horrific trauma of being blown up and encased in a shiny metal murder-carapace by, er, placing him in front of a mirror, opening up his chest cavity and showing him the only organic part of his new body - a nightmarish pair of vivid red pumping lungs

I watched the remake and thought it was totally decent but now I can't remember a damn thing about it except Michael Keaton and also the fact that its primary street antagonist was the anti-Clarence Boddicker in the worst possible sense. It's a flick made for brief goodwill store excitement and then a disgusted return to the shelf two seconds later.
