The scene with Sport & Iris alone in their room--this is taking place in Travis's imagination, right? The obvious giveaway is the record player playing the theme song. The dialog is not what you'd expect a guy like Sport to say to his 12 year old girlfriend, either. It's really the only scene in the whole film that is not from Travis's perspective, and I don't see it in Schrader's script.

some dude I am often on your side but rap is one of music's greatest gifts to the planet so if somebody's style is debasing rap in a head's opinion then it's fair to go in on that style eg grocery bag (which to be fair I think the heads around here are too quick to hate on clever writers & lump ppl in as "grocery bag" rather quickly just for the sake of hating but what the fuck do I know so n/m). "having a display name," as a craft, does not compare favorably with "rap"
