those purple orange monstrosities are pretty killer

and they don't seem hard to wear tbh! i think you'd just need to anchor them with strong neutral like navy and then offset the bright shoes with some bright color elsewhere whether it matches the shoes or not. those shoes with dark denim and like a lemon yellow tee would be solid imho.

exactly my thoughts, elmo. 80% of the time i wear dark wash jeans and primary/secondary colored tops so these seem pretty compatible. what i cant pull off are sneaks that are primarily white.

OH I have a pair of Keds, but low tops, in that exact cream-and-brown herringbone. They're like unutterably preppy or something, but somebody compliments them almost every time I wear the things so okay, I guess.

I swear, I think it's the same fabric, but they're from like 5 years ago.

the top ones are from f-troupe. the laces are a p thick twine which is corny but also i think really cool

oh cool. the generic mans have that thick boot lace, which is nice but i get little deposits of shavings of it wheneever i pull the laces

i think my favorite pair of shoes i bought last year was the pair of gray canvas ked chukkas with the thick white sole, so really i just wanted something that was a little warmer for winter to replace them

i have some suede mcnairy saddle shoes and i dunno about the quality, mcnairy shoes all feel kinda weird and clunky imo. tho i do love the canvas wino keds he did, look forward to wearing again come spring.

the ironic thing is that even though i get associated with that stuff i honestly have one pair of birkenstock bostons and one pair of clarks desert treks and then everything else is plain low top tennis shoes (stan smiths, nike tennis classic, nb procourts) simple high-tops like monochrome black or grey vans chukkas and nike court forces and tokis and a bunch of old school new balances in grey suede grandpa colorways
